The ID Payment Link Generator is a WordPress plugin designed to simplify the process of collecting payments from your clients. Instead of manually building payment URLs or directing customers to a generic checkout page, this plugin lets you generate personalized payment links that arrive pre-filled with your client’s details — first name, last name, email address, and payment amount.
What Does It Do?
At its core, the plugin takes a WordPress page that contains your payment form and appends query parameters to its URL. When a client clicks the resulting link, your form fields are automatically populated with their information, creating a seamless and professional payment experience.
Beyond link generation, the plugin can also send payment links directly via email using customizable email templates with merge tags. You write the template once, and the plugin fills in the client-specific details each time you send.
Free vs Pro Features
- Free: Generate payment links, copy to clipboard, send emails using the default template, configure form field parameter mapping, upload a business logo, and use merge tags in your email subject and body.
- Pro: Create and manage multiple email templates, auto-save customers to a reusable list, select templates at send time, and access priority support.
Where to Find It
Once activated, the plugin adds a top-level admin menu item called “Payment Links” (with the dashicons-money-alt icon) to your WordPress dashboard. From there, you can access the link generator, settings, and all other plugin features.
