When they search, make sure they find you!

Searching Customers

The Customers page provides a powerful search and browsing interface for managing your client database. As your customer list grows, these tools help you find and organize records efficiently.

Using the Search Box

At the top of the Customers page, you’ll find a search box. Type any search term and click “Search Customers” (or press Enter) to filter the list. The search checks against multiple fields:

  • Name — Matches against first name and last name
  • Email — Matches against the email address
  • Company — Matches against the company field

For example, searching for “acme” would return any customer whose name, email, or company contains “acme”. The search is not case-sensitive, so “Acme”, “ACME”, and “acme” all return the same results.

Sortable Table Columns

Search results (and the default customer list) are displayed in a table with the following columns:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email
  • Company
  • Created — The date the customer was added

Click any column header to sort the table by that column. Click again to toggle between ascending and descending order. This is useful for finding recently added customers (sort by Created, descending) or alphabetically browsing your list (sort by Last Name, ascending).

Pagination

The table displays 20 entries per page. If you have more than 20 customers (or more than 20 search results), pagination controls appear at the bottom of the table. Use the page navigation to move between pages of results.

Deleting Customers

You can remove customers in two ways:

  • Individual deletion: Hover over a customer row and click the “Delete” link in the row actions. You’ll be asked to confirm before the record is permanently removed.
  • Bulk deletion: Select multiple customers by checking the checkboxes on the left side of each row. Then choose “Delete” from the Bulk Actions dropdown at the top of the table and click “Apply”. All selected customers will be deleted.

Warning: Deleting a customer is permanent. The action cannot be undone. However, deleting a customer does not affect any previously sent payment links or log entries — those remain intact.
