Subscriptions

Navigate to Dog Walking > Subscriptions to create and manage recurring payment subscriptions for your customers via Stripe.

Creating a Subscription

To create a subscription:

  1. Select a customer (must have a linked Stripe customer ID)
  2. Set the subscription amount
  3. Choose the billing interval (e.g., monthly, weekly)
  4. Send a Stripe setup link to the customer for payment method collection

Subscription Statuses

  • Incomplete — The customer has not yet provided a payment method
  • Active — The subscription is active and billing on schedule
  • Past Due — A payment has failed but the subscription is still active (Stripe will retry)
  • Canceled — The subscription has been canceled
  • Unpaid — All payment retry attempts have failed

Subscription Actions

  • Pause — Temporarily suspend billing
  • Resume — Resume a paused subscription
  • Cancel — Permanently cancel the subscription
  • Update Amount — Change the subscription billing amount
  • Send Setup Link — Send a Stripe-hosted link for the customer to enter or update their payment method

Email Notifications

The following subscription-related emails can be enabled in Settings > Emails:

  • Subscription Payment — Sent when a recurring payment succeeds
  • Subscription Failed — Sent when a payment fails
  • Subscription Canceled — Sent when a subscription is canceled

Payment History

View the full payment history for each subscription, including dates, amounts, and Stripe transaction references.
