Appointment Scheduling

Navigate to Dog Walking > Appointments to create and manage appointments.

Creating an Appointment

Click Add New Appointment and select:

  • Customer — Choose from your customer list
  • Service — Select the service to be performed
  • Date & Time — Pick the appointment date and start time
  • Pets — Select which of the customer’s pets are included
  • Special Requests — Any notes or special instructions for this appointment

Appointment Statuses

  • Pending — Awaiting admin approval (when auto-approve is off)
  • Scheduled — Approved and confirmed
  • Completed — The service has been performed
  • Cancelled — The appointment was cancelled

Approval Workflow

When Auto-Approve Appointments is disabled in Settings, new bookings — whether submitted through the public booking form or created by an admin — start with Pending status. Admins can approve or reject appointments individually from the appointment detail view, or in bulk from the appointments list using the bulk action dropdown.

When an appointment is approved, its status changes to Scheduled and an approval email is sent to the customer (if enabled). When rejected, an email with the rejection reason is sent.

Daily Schedule View

The appointments page includes a Daily Schedule view that displays a Gantt-style timeline of all appointments for a selected date. This gives you a visual overview of your day, making it easy to spot gaps and conflicts.

Dashboard Overview

The Dog Walking > Dashboard page provides a quick summary:

  • Today’s Appointments — All appointments scheduled for today
  • Upcoming Appointments — Appointments for the next 7 days
  • Pending Appointments — Count of appointments awaiting approval
  • Total Customers — Your total active customer count
  • Total Pets — Your total active pet count
