  • 0

Most Android devices include the Gmail app pre-installed. You can also use other email apps if preferred.

Using the Gmail App (Recommended)

  1. Open the Gmail app
  2. Tap your profile icon in the top right corner
  3. Tap Add another account
  4. Select Google
  5. Enter your full email address and tap Next
  6. Enter your password and tap Next
  7. Complete any two-factor authentication if prompted
  8. Accept the terms of service

Your email will begin syncing automatically.

Adding to Android Settings

You can also add your Google account at the system level:

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Accounts (or Passwords & accounts)
  3. Tap Add account
  4. Select Google
  5. Enter your full email address and password
  6. Complete any two-factor authentication if prompted

This adds your account to Gmail and also syncs Contacts and Calendar.

Switching Between Accounts

If you have multiple accounts in Gmail:

  1. Open the Gmail app
  2. Tap your profile icon in the top right
  3. Tap the account you want to switch to

Or swipe up/down on your profile picture to quickly switch.

Troubleshooting

If sign-in fails, verify your email and password are correct. If your organization uses two-factor authentication, complete that step. If you're still having issues, contact your administrator to verify your account is active.
