You can access your Google Workspace email using either the Gmail app (recommended) or the built-in Mail app.
Option 1: Gmail App (Recommended)
- Download Gmail from the App Store
- Open the app and tap Sign in
- Select Google
- Enter your full email address and tap Next
- Enter your password and tap Next
- Complete any two-factor authentication if prompted
- Tap Allow to grant necessary permissions
The Gmail app provides the full Gmail experience including labels, search, and conversation view.
Option 2: Built-in Mail App
- Open Settings
- Tap Mail
- Tap Accounts
- Tap Add Account
- Select Google
- Enter your full email address and tap Next
- Enter your password and tap Next
- Complete any two-factor authentication if prompted
- Choose which items to sync (Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Notes)
- Tap Save

Gmail App:
- Full Gmail features including labels and advanced search
- Matches the web Gmail experience
- Supports multiple Google accounts easily
Built-in Mail App:
- Combines all your email accounts in one app
- Consistent interface with other iOS mail
- Good if you prefer Apple's email interface
Troubleshooting
If sign-in fails, verify your password is correct. If your organization uses two-factor authentication, you'll need to complete that step. Contact your administrator if you're locked out.
