Installation & Activation

ID Dashboard Cleanup can be installed like any standard WordPress plugin.

Method 1: Install from WordPress Admin

1. In your WordPress admin, navigate to Plugins > Add New.
2. Search for “ID Dashboard Cleanup”.
3. Click Install Now, then click Activate.

Method 2: Upload the ZIP File

1. Download the plugin .zip file to your computer.
2. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
3. Select the .zip file and click Install Now.
4. Click Activate Plugin.

After Activation

1. Visit the Dashboard — Navigate to the main WordPress Dashboard page. The plugin captures all registered widgets on this first visit.
2. Open the settings page — Go to Settings > Dashboard Cleanup. You’ll see all detected widgets listed with checkboxes and drag handles.

If you go to the settings page before visiting the Dashboard, you’ll see a notice asking you to visit the Dashboard first. This is normal — the plugin needs to see which widgets are registered before it can list them.
