Android email setup varies slightly between manufacturers, but the general steps are similar.
Adding Your Account
- Open Settings
- Tap Accounts (or search for "Accounts")
- Tap Add account
- Select Email or Personal (IMAP)
Enter Your Account Information
- Enter your full email address (e.g., john@yourdomain.com)
- Tap Next or Manual Setup
- Select IMAP (recommended)
Configure Incoming Server
- Email address – Your full email address
- Username – Your full email address
- Password – Your email password
- Server – idwebhosta.net
- Port – 993
- Security type – SSL/TLS
Tap Next.
Configure Outgoing Server
- SMTP server – idwebhosta.net
- Port – 465
- Security type – SSL/TLS
- Require sign-in – Enabled/checked
- Username – Your full email address
- Password – Your email password
Tap Next.
Account Options
Choose your sync frequency and notification preferences, then tap Next.
Complete Setup
Give the account a name and enter the name you'd like displayed on outgoing messages. Tap Done or Finish.
Troubleshooting
