04 Working with Fields Print

  • 0

Adding Fields

Click a field type in the right panel to add it to the bottom of your form, or drag it to a specific position on the canvas.

Selecting a Field

Click any field on the canvas to select it. A blue border indicates the selected field, and its settings appear in the left panel.

Moving Fields

Drag and drop fields on the canvas to reorder them. A blue line indicates where the field will be placed when you release.

Duplicating a Field

Hover over a field and click the Duplicate icon (two overlapping squares) to create a copy with the same settings. Useful when creating multiple similar fields.

Deleting a Field

Hover over a field and click the Delete icon (trash can). You'll be asked to confirm. Deleted fields cannot be recovered, though their data remains in existing entries.

Common Field Settings

Most fields share these settings in the left panel:

  • Field Label – The text shown above the field
  • Description – Help text shown below the field
  • Required – Whether the field must be completed
  • Placeholder – Ghost text inside the field (disappears when typing)
  • CSS Class – For custom styling (advanced)

Some fields have additional settings specific to their type, such as character limits for text fields or choices for dropdowns.
