When they search, make sure they find you!

Quick Start Guide

After installation and your first Dashboard visit, here’s how to configure your dashboard in under a minute.

1. Open the Settings Page

Go to Settings > Dashboard Cleanup. You’ll see all detected dashboard widgets organized into columns, each with a checkbox and a drag handle.

2. Hide Unwanted Widgets

Uncheck any widget you want to hide. Unchecked widgets are removed from the dashboard for all users.

3. Reorder Widgets

Click and drag the grip handle (the menu icon to the left of each widget) to move it up, down, or into a different column. The order you set here is the order every user will see.

4. Choose Column Count

Use the Dashboard Columns dropdown at the top to select 2, 3, or 4 columns. Columns 3 and 4 appear instantly when selected — you can drag widgets into them right away.

5. Save

Click Save Changes. Your configuration is now active for all users.

Important Details

  • New widgets appear automatically — When a new plugin registers a dashboard widget, it will appear on the settings page after your next Dashboard visit. New widgets are visible by default.
  • Settings override Screen Options — Individual users cannot override your configuration through WordPress Screen Options. Hidden widgets are completely removed.
  • Responsive columns — WordPress may display fewer columns on smaller screens regardless of your setting. The column count sets the maximum.
