Adding Items to a Menu

On the left side, you'll see boxes for Pages, Posts, Custom Links, and Categories. Check the items you want to add, then click Add to Menu.

Reordering Menu Items

Drag and drop items in the menu structure to reorder them. Items at the top appear first (left) in horizontal menus.

Creating Dropdown Submenus

Drag a menu item slightly to the right, underneath another item, to nest it as a dropdown child. The indented item will appear as a submenu when visitors hover over the parent.

Custom Links

Use custom links to add external URLs or anchor links to your menu:

  1. Expand the Custom Links box on the left
  2. Enter the URL (full address including https://)
  3. Enter the Link Text (what visitors will see)
  4. Click Add to Menu

Editing Menu Item Labels

Click the arrow on any menu item to expand its settings. You can change the Navigation Label (the text displayed in the menu) without affecting the original page title.

Removing Menu Items

Click the arrow on any menu item to expand it, then click Remove.

Menu Locations

At the bottom of the menu editor, check the box for where this menu should appear. Common locations include:

  • Primary Menu / Main Navigation
  • Footer Menu
  • Mobile Menu

Available locations depend on your theme.

Saving Changes

Always click Save Menu after making changes.
