Creating a New Page
- Go to Pages → Add New
- Enter your page title in the title field
- Add content using the editor and formatting toolbar
- In the right sidebar:
- Parent Page – Nest this page under another (e.g., "Our Team" under "About")
- Page Template – Some themes offer different layouts (Full Width, Sidebar, etc.)
- Featured Image – If your theme supports it
- Click Publish
Editing an Existing Page
Go to Pages → All Pages, find your page, and click Edit. After making changes, click Update.
Page Hierarchy
Use parent pages to create logical groupings. A page with a parent will have a URL structure like:
yourdomain.com/about/our-team/Page Templates
Depending on your theme, you may have multiple page templates available. Common options include:
- Default Template – Standard page layout
- Full Width – No sidebar
- Landing Page – Minimal header/footer
Select your template from the Page Attributes box in the right sidebar before publishing.
Note About Page Builders
If your site uses WPBakery Page Builder for page layouts, you'll see a Backend Editor or Frontend Editor button above the content area. Click this to access the visual page builder instead of the standard text editor.
