Uploading Files

Go to Media → Add New and drag files into the window or click Select Files. Supported formats include JPG, PNG, GIF, PDF, MP4, and more.

Adding Images to Content

While editing a post or page:

  1. Place your cursor where you want the image to appear
  2. Click the Add Media button above the editor
  3. Select an existing image from the Media Library, or click Upload Files to add a new one
  4. On the right side, set your preferences:
    • Alt Text – Describes the image (important for accessibility and SEO)
    • Alignment – None, Left, Center, or Right
    • Link To – None, Media File, Attachment Page, or Custom URL
    • Size – Thumbnail, Medium, Large, or Full Size
  5. Click Insert into post

Editing Image Settings After Insertion

Click on any image in the editor to select it. You'll see a small toolbar appear with options to edit, align, or remove the image. Click the pencil icon to open the full image settings.

Featured Images

A featured image represents the post or page in listings, social shares, and theme layouts. Set it using the Featured Image box in the right sidebar — click Set featured image, select or upload your image, then click Set featured image again to confirm.

Replacing an Image

To replace an image in your content:

  1. Click the image to select it
  2. Click the pencil icon to edit
  3. Click Replace in the image details window
  4. Select a new image and click Replace

Managing the Media Library

Go to Media → Library to view all uploaded files. You can:

  • Switch between grid and list view
  • Search for files by name
  • Filter by file type or date
  • Click any file to edit its title, alt text, caption, and description
  • Delete files you no longer need

Image Best Practices

  • Resize before uploading – Large images slow down your site. Resize to no larger than 1920px wide for full-width images.
  • Use descriptive file names – "company-team-photo.jpg" is better than "IMG_4523.jpg"
  • Always add alt text – Describe what's in the image for accessibility
