Built-In Templates

Card

The classic blog grid. Each post is rendered as a bordered card with the featured image on top and content below. Cards have a subtle shadow that elevates on hover, giving the grid a tactile, interactive feel.

Layout order: Image → Meta (date, category) → Title → Excerpt → Read More

The Card template is the most versatile — it works well at any column count and suits blogs, news sites, and general content pages.

Overlay

Bold and visual. The post content overlays the featured image with a dark gradient backdrop. Text is rendered in white over the image, creating an immersive card that draws the eye to the photography.

Layout order: Full-bleed image with content overlaid at the bottom.

Overlay works best with high-quality featured images. It’s ideal for photography blogs, portfolio sites, and any layout where visuals take priority over text.

Minimal

No borders, no shadows, no distractions. Just images and text with a clean editorial feel. The image has rounded corners and the overall treatment is light and airy.

Layout order: Image → Category → Title → Excerpt → Read More (with arrow icon)

The Minimal template is suited to editorial-style sites, brand pages, and any design that favors whitespace and simplicity.

Horizontal

Image on the left, content on the right. Each post occupies the full grid width in a side-by-side layout, making it easy to scan headlines and summaries quickly.

Layout order: Image (300px width) beside Meta → Title → Excerpt → Read More

The Horizontal template automatically stacks vertically on mobile (below 767px). It’s ideal for news-style layouts, content-heavy blogs, and resource directories. Note that the column setting does not apply when using this template — items are always full width.

Featured Post Variations

All four templates support the featured post option. When enabled, the featured post renders at full grid width with a larger image and more prominent title treatment, regardless of which template is active. In the Horizontal template, the featured image expands to 400px width.
