How do I configure my mail client to access my email?

Manual Mail Client Settings

When configuring a desktop email application or mobile device, you'll need specific server information. Use the settings below, replacing "yourdomain.com" with your actual domain name.

Secure SSL/TLS Settings
(Recommended)
Username: username@yourdomain.com
Password: Use the email account’s password.
Incoming Server: idwebhosta.net
  • IMAP Port: 993
  • POP3 Port: 995
Outgoing Server: idwebhosta.net
  • SMTP Port: 465
Authentication is required for IMAP, POP3, and SMTP.

Non-SSL Settings
Username: username@yourdomain.com
Password: Use the email account’s password.
Incoming Server: mail.yourdomain.com
  • IMAP Port: 143
  • POP3 Port: 110
Outgoing Server: mail.yourdomain.com
  • SMTP Port: 587
Authentication is required for IMAP, POP3, and SMTP.

Which Settings Should I Use?

We recommend using the Secure SSL/TLS settings. They encrypt your connection to the mail server, protecting your login credentials and email content from interception.

Quick Reference

  • IMAP – Syncs email across all devices (recommended for most users)
  • POP3 – Downloads email to one device only
  • SMTP – Sends outgoing mail
